Ocala Golden Corral reopening doors after extended pandemic closure

The Ocala Golden Corral will reopen its doors latter this month after an extended closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The restaurant, which closed its doors in March like many other businesses in the area, is scheduled to reopen on Monday, Nov. 23 at 10:45 a.m.

The Ocala Golden Corral remained closed longer than every other restaurant in the area, including national chains.

Multiple national companies with locations in Ocala were forced to temporarily or permanently shutter their doors as a result of the pandemic.

Earlier this summer, Ruby Tuesday’s closed the doors on its location on Highway 200. Pier 1 Imports closed all of its 540 stores around the country, including its Ocala location at 2516 SW College Road.

Before the pandemic, Krystal’s closed its longtime location along Highway 200.

The company has been slowly reopening establishments all over the country, including locations in nearby Clermont and The Villages.
