Silver Springs woman nabbed on multiple charges after report of burglary

Kellie Lynn Bragg

A Silver Springs woman was jailed recently after the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a burglary.

A sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence on N.E. 147th Terrace and an investigation revealed that 48-year-old Kellie Lynn Bragg had forced entry into a residence and stolen several firearms, some loose change, jewelry and power tools while the victim was out of state. Bragg also allegedly stole the victim’s black Cadillac CTS, a sheriff’s office report states.

Detectives located Bragg at her Silver Springs residence when she drove up in the vehicle that had been reported stolen. She was interviewed and admitted to breaking in and stealing the victim’s belongings, which were later found in the stolen vehicle and Bragg’s home, the report says.

Bragg was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with possession of methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance without a prescription; armed burglary of a dwelling, structure or conveyance; grand theft of a motor vehicle; grand theft of a firearm and two charges of larceny/grand theft. She was being held on $31,000 bond and is due in court Dec. 15 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
