Silver Springs man popped with stolen Harley after fleeing from disturbance

Christopher Allen Luke

A Silver Springs man was nabbed recently after fleeing from Marion County sheriff’s deputies who were investigating a disturbance and traffic complaint.

Deputies responded to N.E. 173rd Court and upon their arrival, 36-year-old Christopher Allen Luke fled the scene. Deputies later discovered that he had ridden a stolen Harley-Davidson motorcycle to the incident location, a sheriff’s office report states.

A K-9 deputy and his dog located Luke a short time later. He was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle. He was being held on $2,000 bond and is due in court Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charge, jail records show.
