Man behind bars after allegedly admitted to smacking vehicle with crowbar

A man who admitted to damaging a vehicle with a crowbar was jailed recently in Marion County.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to N.E. 142nd Place in reference to criminal mischief to a vehicle. An investigation revealed that 23-year-old Jackie Eugene Stotsenburg had used a crowbar to break the driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle and punch a large hole in the driver’s side door, a sheriff’s office report states.

The deputy spoke with Stotsbenburg and after he admitted to causing the damage, he was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, the report says. He was charged with criminal mischief, held on $2,000 bond and is due in court Dec. 29 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
