Ocala detective obtains felony warrants for arrest in catalytic converter thefts

A detective with the Ocala Police Department has obtained three felony warrants for the arrest of a man in connection with stolen catalytic converters after a recent plea for help.

An Ocala Police detective has obtained three felony warrants for the arrest of John Clayton Thomas in connection with stolen catalytic converters. Thomas is known to drive a dark blue 2007 Chevy pickup truck with a white horseshoe sticker on the rear window and the license tag Z199XA, which may be written on paper and hung in the rear window.

The warrants are for the arrest of John Clayton Thomas, who is known to drive a dark blue 2007 Chevy pickup truck with a white horseshoe sticker on the rear window. The license tag assigned is Z199XA but may be written onto a handmade paper tag in the rear window, a report says.

Anyone who sees Thomas or his vehicle is asked to contact Detective Grady at (352) 369-7000.
