Nightly closures planned at Ocala airport for runway and taxiway construction

Due to scheduled runway and taxiway construction work, the Ocala International Airport will be closed nightly, 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., during the following:

  • 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, through 7 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14;
  • 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, through 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15;
  • 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, through 7 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19;
  • 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, through 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20;
  • 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, through 7 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21;
  • 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, through 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22; and
  • 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, through 7 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.

Aircrews are advised to plan accordingly to accommodate these critical airport infrastructure improvements. During these nightly closures, the airport will be closed to all fixed-winged aircraft. Rotary wing (helicopter) operations will be permitted away from construction areas.
