Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods is asking for the public’s help in locating 18-year-old Kamere Thomas, who is wanted in connection with an attempted home invasion robbery with a firearm, burglary with a battery, possession of a firearm by a felon, another battery and criminal mischief.

Woods, speaking during his regular “Wanted by Woods Wednesday” segment on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page, asked for assistance in locating 18-year-old Kamere Thomas. He is wanted for attempted home invasion robbery with a firearm, burglary with a battery, possession of a firearm by a felon, another battery and criminal mischief, Woods said.

“I don’t know why he thinks it is OK to break into my citizens’ homes, try to steal their belongings, or batter anyone of them,” Woods said. “But I do know that it’s time for him to go to jail for these crimes.”

Anyone with information about Thomas or his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Marion County at (352) 368-STOP and reference 21-05 in your tip. If you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
