Diana Kay Dikeman

Diana Kay Dikeman

Diana Kay Dikeman, age 69, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Peoria, passed away early in the afternoon of Sunday, January 10, 2021, succumbing to complications from the COVID-19 virus. Born the eldest child of three, on October 25, 1951, in Peoria, to George and Eva Reeise, she married Rick Dikeman on May 29, 1976.

Survivors include her husband, Rick; sons, Todd Dikeman and Brent Dikeman; and two grandchildren, Harper and Hudson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Reeise and Eva Reeise; as well as one brother, Dale Reeise.

Diana spent the majority of her 69 years living in and around the Peoria area. However, the last few years were spent in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Ocala, Florida. No matter the location, she was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. When Diana was in the room, there was never a dull moment or an empty cup. Be it her spot-on Olympic speedskating impression or singing, “Ricky, Ricky, Your so fine, your so fine, you blow my mind, Hey Ricky!” with a napkin on her head, Diana had a talent for making everyone feel like family. Diana Kay Dikeman will be loved, remembered and missed by everyone that she has touched.

Due to the current pandemic and out of respect for everyone’s safety, the Dikeman family has decided to forgo a formal service at this time. We would like to revisit the potential of holding a “Celebration of Life” if/when circumstances will allow. If you would like to be notified if/when arrangements are made, please email todd_dikaman@yahoo.com.
