29-year-old Ocala woman jailed after man friend claims she slapped his chest

Jenna Steinbrenner

An Ocala woman found herself behind bars recently after Marion County sheriff’s deputies received a call about a possible domestic battery.

The victim told deputies that 29-year-old Jenna Steinbrenner slapped him on the chest with an open hand. He also said she had been drinking, according to a sheriff’s office report.

The victim told deputies that Steinbrenner wanted to drive and after he wouldn’t let her, she became “irate.” He said he had recorded video of the incident and officers confirmed the accusations, the report says.

After reviewing the footage, deputies asked Steinbrenner to sit or stand up so they could talk. She refused and deputies were forced to remove her from the bed and place her in restraints, the report says.

Steinbrenner was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail. She is facing charges of simple domestic battery and resisting an officer without violence. She was released on $350 bond and is due in Marion County Court on Feb. 17 at 1 p.m., jail records show.
