Arlene M. Fleming, 79, of Ocala, FL and formerly East Bridgewater, MA passed away on January 16, 2021. She was the loving wife of 60 years to Bruce A. Fleming, mother of Shelby (Karl) Frutchey, Brenda (Ed) Ford, Regina (Ray) Harmon and Sharon (Bill) Ness, and grandmother of Dylan, Kyle, Nolan, Natalie, Zachary, and Brady.
Arlene is predeceased by her parents William R. and Julia E. (Nevuilis) and step mother Helen F. (Haefner) Leaman, her siblings William, Robert, Richard and David Leaman, Lorraine McCann, Eveyln Burgess, and Jeanne Stewart.
She is survived by her siblings Geraldine Kelly, Ronald Leaman and James Stewart as well as many nieces and nephews.
Arlene was born and raised in Quincy, MA and raised her family in East Bridgewater, MA where she lived for 45 years. She was a Bookkeeper for several local businesses before she retired to Florida in 2005. She served on the East Bridgewater School Committee, volunteered with many local organizations and was a parishioner of St. John’s Catholic Church (East Bridgewater, MA) and Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (Ocala, FL).
A funeral mass will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala, FL on March 5, 2021 at 9am followed by a private burial service at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Marion County, Cates House or The Alzheimer’s Association.
