Ocala Police officers are warning the public about a scam going on throughout the area.
Ocala city phone numbers are being spoofed to try to get people to give out their personal information. The callers will tell you that you have a warrant and will try to confirm your information.
Ocala Police say it’s important that area residents don’t fall for the scam. They say that if someone has a warrant, they will already know their pertinent information and won’t need to ask for it.
