An Ocala man was arrested recently after a victim claimed he pointed a gun at her head and threatened to kill her.

The victim claimed she was arguing with 32-year-old Rakim Harrel Glover when he threatened her. She said she didn’t call 911 because she was afraid Glover would kill her. She also told deputies that he had told her in the past if she ever called law enforcement on him, he would kill her and destroy her residence, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report states, noting that the victim was “visibly scared” of Glover and had “noticeably shaken” speech.

A juvenile witness told sheriff’s deputies that Glover and the victim are constantly arguing with each other. She said she heard Glover threaten to shoot and kill the victim and he had threatened her multiple times in the past, a sheriff’s office report states.

Deputies ran a computer check that showed:

  • In September 2020, the victim called the sheriff’s office to report Glover pointing a gun at her face;
  • In July 2020, a report involving Glover was generated for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; and
  • On Christmas Day in 2014 Glover was arrested for domestic battery against the victim.

Glover was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with domestic aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. He was released on $1,000 bond and is due in court May 11 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
