A 21-year-old Ocala man was arrested recently after his lady friend claimed he became “agitated” during a verbal altercation and threw a case of water at her.
The victim told Marion County sheriff’s deputies that the water hit her in the back and on her arm. The woman’s man friend, James Freda, wasn’t at the residence when deputies arrived but he agreed to return and was then detained by deputies.
After being read his rights, Freda admitted to throwing the case of water at the victim. He was then placed under arrest and transported to the Marion Couty Jail, where he was charged with domestic battery and violating his conditions on a pre-trial release for a previous domestic violence charge. He was being held on no bond and his next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
