An Ocala man was arrested recently after his lady friend said he grabbed her and pushed her into a wall when she tried to leave their residence with his mother.
The victim reported that she and 29-year-old Christopher Bona had been arguing throughout the day. She said she decided to leave and Bona called his mother to come pick him up, a sheriff’s office report states.
The victim said Bona’s mother arrived and they decided to leave together. She said Bona became irate, grabbed her arm and shoved her into a wall so she couldn’t leave. She said in an effort to get away, she stabbed him with her keys and kicked him in the groin, the report says, noting that the victim had a fresh bruise and laceration on her arm.
Bona’s mother told deputies she decided to assist the victim in leaving the residence and went outside to retrieve a car seat from a pickup truck parked in the front yard. She said she heard a “commotion” coming from inside the residence and when she returned, she saw her son grabbing the victim. She said the victim called 911 and her son left the residence, the report says.
Deputies then made contact with Bona, who after being read his rights admitted the altercation got “heated.” He claimed the victim struck him with a truck key when he decided to leave, the report says, noting that Bona had a laceration on the left side of his stomach and a small cut on his right index finger.
Bona was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where he was charged with domestic battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment. He was released on $3,000 bond and is due in court May 18 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
