Paddock Mall, CareerSource, local businesses make job fair, hiring push

The Paddock Mall, CareerSource Citrus/Levy/Marion and a collection of local companies are hosting hiring fairs and making a push to fill positions as the city of Ocala recovers from the aftereffects of COVID-19 closures.

Both the Paddock Mall and College of Central Florida will host job fairs in June as part of an ongoing hiring push across the county.

Located at 3100 SW College Road, the mall’s job fair will take place on Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will feature retailers from within the mall, as well as various companies throughout Marion County. Attendees are encouraged to bring resume copies.

CareerSource CLM will host its job fair on Thursday, June 17, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the College of Central Florida Klein Center. The fair is open for those aged 16 to 24 who are looking for their first job, as well as those professionals who may be looking to change careers.

Multiple companies and organizations will be in attendance, including the City of Ocala, Autozone, Brookdale, Marion County Board of County Commissioners, Raney’s, and the World Equestrian Center, to name a few.

Both events are free and open to the public.

Earlier this month Chick-fil-A announced that it was reducing its breakfast hours on account of staff shortages.

In addition, Silver Springs State Park, Marion County Assisted Living Facility, and the city of Ocala have made the call for part time and full time job fillings in recent weeks.
