Magnolia Art Xchange looking for new resident artists

The Magnolia Art Xchange is looking for new resident artists.

The organization made the announcement recently through its social channels and says that applications will be accepted through Friday, June 18.

Situated at Union Station, the Magnolia Art Xchange (MAX) is one of the true treasures of downtown Ocala. In May, the MAX played host to Native Aliens, a show that featured the works of multiple local artists including Ryan Neumann, who won an award recently from the Ocala Cultural Arts for one of his signature paintings.

Over the past few years, the organization has highlighted work from a variety of local artists that cover a wide spectrum of mediums.

From music to performance art to the occasional shoe art demonstration, the MAX is a hub for some of the most creative minds and talented individuals in Ocala.

The program offers private studio rental spaces, and is designed to encourage the creative and professional growth of emerging and mid-career artists. It presents a great opportunity for artists to grow their network within and around Ocala.
