Ocala woman arrested on meth trafficking charges

An Ocala woman was charged with drug trafficking after being found with 14 grams of meth during a traffic stop.

A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy witnessed a GMC commit a traffic violation when it entered a highway from a private road and did not yield for traffic.

While searching the vehicle, the deputy located a purse that belonged to Cano and found a black cylinder container and a small digital scale. In the container was a bag that contained a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. The white powdery substance was later weighed and had a total weight of 14 grams, according to the sheriff’s report.

Cano was charged with more than five charges including possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking methamphetamine 24 grams or over. Cano was transported to the Marion County Jail on June 1 with a bond set at $10,500.
