Ocala – David John Basa passed away peacefully at the age of 66 on Friday June 4, 2021.
He was born April 17, 1955, and grew up in Greene, NY. David was preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Loretta Wood Basa, sister JoAnne Marie, and brother Garry. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Basa, stepson Jayson Bollenbach, Brothers Wayne Basa (Paula), and Scott Basa (Melissa), Sisters Sally Baker (Don), and Maureen Maiorano (Gary). Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
David worked as an Automotive Mechanic and had a great passion and talent for working on cars. His specialty was working on the American Motors AMX of which some were featured in Car Craft and Hot Rod magazine. He was a kind and loving man who will be deeply missed by his wife, family, and friends.
