Marion County Public Libraries will offer free meals to kids and teens through a popular summer program.
The Summer BreakSpot is an initiative of the United States Department of Agriculture to provide hot meals to children around the country. In partnership with Shores Assembly of God, the Marion County Public Library system is providing these meals via curbside pickup.
All children ages 1 to 18 may receive the meals. Guardians must present children’s IDs or have children present to receive the meals.
The program will operate out of different libraries across the county, with the following dates and times:
Mondays, 5 – 6 p.m. at the Reddick Public Library
Tuesdays, 5 – 6 p.m. at the Belleview and Fort McCoy Public Libraries
Thursdays, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the Dunnellon Public Library
Thrusdays, 5 – 6 p.m. at the Freedom Public Library
Fridays, 5 – 6 p.m. at the Forest and Marion Oaks Public Libraries
