Marvin Lester Sheppard, 75, passed away June 9, 2021. He was born and raised in Ocala, FL on June 12, 1945 to Odell and Jewell Sheppard. He owned and operated Sheppard Well Drilling.
He is preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Phyllis Sheppard, in 2016; sisters, Gladys Sheppard Rodgers (Billy), Carol Sheppard; brother, Roy Sheppard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathlyne McDonald Walkup Sheppard; son, Jeff Sheppard (Christine); daughters, Julie Smith (Jimmy), Janet Thompson (Michael); sister, Janet Robinson (Smoky); four grandchildren, Chelsea, Amber, Ciera and Daisy; and one great-grandson, Braiden; sister-in-law, Margaret Sheppard; step-children, Jim Walkup and Anna; and grandchildren in love, James, Max, Rachel, Clay and Rhoda Walkup and Violet and Eloise; and many nieces and nephews in Georgia, Kentucky and Indiana.
Visitation will be from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2021 at Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Anthony Cemetery, Anthony, FL. A Celebration of life service will follow the interment at the Community Presbyterian Church, McIntosh, FL at 12 Noon, with Pastor Zachary Seal. A reception will follow the service at the church fellowship hall.
