A new shared office space has opened in Downtown Ocala.
Workspace Collective, which opened its first location in a restored home built in 1891 in Ocala’s Historic District, has opened a new location at 217 SE 1st Avenue. The business is located next door to the CrossFit Iron Legion gym in Downtown Ocala.
Workspace Collective bills itself as a “collaborative and community drive” office space that is the ideal fit for startups, small businesses, young professionals, and creatives. The business opened its first location at 603 East Fort King Street in late 2019 and has seen a steady flow of business professionals flow throw its doors.
Like its predecessor, the new location has been designed to foster productivity in a sleek, modern space. But unlike the original location, the downtown Workspace Collective features large arching windows that illuminate the space with natural light.
Because of the wide range of tenants and their associated businesses, the locations feature a variety of work areas, including desks, nooks, tables, private rooms, meeting rooms, and even a podcasting booth. All of the furniture and decor is chic, modern and minimalist, and helps to create a relaxing work environment.
The new business joins a slew of others that have opened recently or are planning to open new locations in Downtown Ocala.
Mellow Mushroom, Symmetry Cafe, Cantina Tex-Mex, and Mutiny Pirate Bar are all currently renovating and constructing spaces that should be operational before the end of the year.
