An Ocala man was arrested after an alleged drunken tirade resulted in a child’s play set being thrown at a woman.
The victim claimed 28-year-old Robby Swearingen slapped her in the face and threw a child’s play set at her in the living room of the home. The victim claimed Swearingen had been drinking and has a history of becoming violent, according to the sheriff’s report.
A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy observed the victim’s face to be red. Swearingen was slurring his words as he spoke to the deputy and a strong odor of alcohol was emitting from his mouth as he spoke. Swearingen refused to speak to the deputy, according to the report.
Swearingen was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail on June 9.
He was charged with battery with a bond set at $1,000. He was bonded out on June 10 and a court date is set for July 7 at 1 p.m., jail records show.
