Mary E. Strickland, 82, gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Anthony, where she shared her heart and home with anyone who walked through her door. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church where she loved to fellowship. If you met Mary you were always greeted with a warm hug and invited over for her world class fried chicken or chocolate chip cookies.
She is survived by her sons Michael (Tina) Strickland, William “Danny”(Vickie) Strickland, David (Denene) Strickland; daughter Julie (Greg) Farmer and “adopted” daughters Jenny Betty and Jodi Radford; and her most adored 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Thomas “Tommy” Strickland and her infant son, Mark.
A funeral service will be held at 4PM on June 26, 2021 at First Freewill Baptist Church of Ocala, 2210 NE 24th Street, Ocala, FL, 34470. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wear Gloves, 833 N. Magnolia Avenue, Ocala, FL 34470.
