U.S. Navy testing live, inert bombs in Ocala National Forest

The U.S. Navy will test live and inert bombs in Ocala National Forest this weekend.

The organization made the announcement earlier this week. According to an online post, the training will use live and inert bombs and will take place at the Pinecastle Range Complex located in the Ocala National Forest.

“Please avoid being in the immediate area of the Pinecastle Range Complex. Due to the noise, wildlife may be temporarily displaced,” reads the post.

The testing will last from June 18 until June 20.

“Please use extra caution when driving through the Ocala National Forest. If you live in or near the forest, please secure any items around your residence that could attract wildlife. You may also see an increase of military aircraft flying overhead during this timeframe,” reads the post.
