Victim claims baby mother attacked him in his front yard while holding their child

An Ocala woman was recently arrested after her baby’s father claimed she attacked him in his front yard when she went to pick up their daughter.

On June 25 an Ocala Police Department officer responded to a home in reference to a disturbance. The caller reported she was watching her son being attacked by his baby mother, 24-year-old Joamyr Joiseus through her doorbell camera, according to the incident report.

The victim said Joiseus was at the home to pick up their daughter and claimed on June 24 she stole an item from him. He said when she came on June 25, he confronted her. He claimed when he confronted her she became upset and punched him the face. He admitted he slapped her one time in the face and realized she was holding the child, so he backed off. The victim claimed Joiseus began attacking him while in a vehicle and he was able to get up and run from her in the front yard. He claimed she continued attacking him while he was holding the baby and running into the home. He said he placed the child in the bedroom and Joiseus grabbed her and fled the scene, according to the incident report.

The officer reported he observed multiple face scratches and bite marks to the victim.

The victim’s current girlfriend claimed she saw them fighting in the front yard. She stated she tried to separate them, but they refused to stop so she backed off, the report stated.

Joiseus was located at her home and claimed the victim punched her in the face first. She claimed she was defending herself and was eventually able to escape. The officer observed a scratch on her neck and grass stains, the report stated.

The doorbell footage revealed them yelling at each other and Joisues throwing a single punch and kick. The video also revealed them hitting each other in the front yard while victim was holding the child and Joiseus punching him in the back, according to the report.

Joiseus was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail with a bond set at $6,500. She was charged with burglary with battery, child abuse and simple battery.  She was released on June 28 and a court date is set for July 27 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
