A Coney Island-style diner that has roots in Michigan has a new location in Ocala that has been serving up classic breakfasts, sandwiches, and hot dogs since the end of last year.
Brester’s Coney Island is a family owned and operated diner located at 506 S Pine Avenue, in the Pine Plaza next to the Ocala Police Department.
The business, which opened its doors in December 2020, offers a wide variety of breakfast and diner favorites, including biscuits and gravy, french toast, omelets, burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs.
A Coney Island is a type of restaurant that is popular in Michigan and known for the Coney Island hot dog, which is a natural-casing hot dog in a steamed bun dressed with chili, diced onions, and yellow mustard.
Brester’s Coney Island is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday. According to the organization’s website, they offer both pick up and delivery services.
