A new class on beekeeping is coming to a popular Ocala park.
The Fort King National Historic Landmark will host a “Meet Your Neighbor the Bee” on Wednesday, July 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will educate residents about what to do if they find a beehive on their property and the options available to move, remove, or rehome honeybees.
The event will also teach residents what they should and shouldn’t spray along with resources to reach out to if they encounter bees on their property.
The event is free to attend at the park, which is located at 3925 E Fort King Street.
