A Zaxby’s in south Ocala was temporarily closed last week after failing a health inspection for multiple high priority violations.
The Zaxby’s located at 13451 SW 17th Court was forced to close its doors on Tuesday, July 6, after a health inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) found a total of nine violations.
Of the nine violations, two were high priority, including the presence of roach activity and small flying insects in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
The restaurant was closed and required three additional inspections before it was opened again the following day, Wednesday, July 7.
The report included five basic violations including dead roaches and soiled floors, and two intermediate violations.
