The Appleton Museum of Art, College of Central Florida, announced the winners of its seventh annual “Mobile Photography Contest & Exhibition.”
Accepted throughout the month of June 2021, the museum received 630 mobile photos across four categories: Adventure, Black and White, Horse and Hound, and My Hero.
Photos were submitted by participants of all ages using a variety of mobile devices, such as phones and tablets.
“This year we received a record-high number of entries, and as always, we are so wowed by the community’s creativity and thoughtfulness when responding to the category themes,” said Victoria Billig, assistant director of the Appleton Museum who also created the community program.
All 630 photos are currently on display at the museum through October 3, with a special feature wall for the winning photos.
Regular museum admission fees apply to see the exhibition. Visitors can also enjoy free admission on August 7, September 4 and October 2 as part of Free First Saturdays.
