To the Editor:
From the penny tax collected, millions supposedly went to road repair. I don’t see it, but it’s in the budget as done.
The waterpark we have been begging for since the state destroyed Wild Waters at Silver Springs. Another political move. A petition with over 12,000 signatures exists, begging the powers that be to save it. Replace it. Value it as a part of Ocala’s heritage. It fell on deaf ears.
Now, the kids have nothing to do. Families have nothing close by to do. Many children find themselves in bad situations, because they have nowhere to go to hang out safely.
The memories people left on the Wild Waters Facebook page are tender and meant the world to those lucky enough to experience it.
My family definitely misses it. If only there were a reset button. I’d go back 10 years or so.
