Brick City Center for the Arts just got a beautiful aesthetic upgrade.
The center, which is located at 23 SE Broadway Street, was equipped with a new awning that is covered with a mural designed and painted by artist Nichole Westfall.
The awning was installed earlier this month at the center, which is the home of the Marion Cultural Alliance.
Entitled “Weekend Plans,” artist Nichole Westfall created a “whimsical monochromatic evening scene with frogs and humans, which blends Ocala’s background and eco-tourism,” according to a social media post from the Marion Cultural Alliance.
Westfall, who is currently based in West Virginia, has a collection of murals displayed all across that state, as well as other works displayed in Colorado. According to her website, the awning mural is Westfall’s first in Florida.
