An Ocala woman is facing an aggravated battery charge after a man claims she accused him of being abusive to his girlfriend and punched him in the face.
On July 12 a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of battery by 32-year-old Amanda Nardi.
The victim claims that on July 27, Nardi approached his mobile home who he shares with his girlfriend. The victim claims Nardi accused him of being abusive towards his girlfriend before she flipped a table. The victim claims Nardi started throwing items at him and then punched him in the face, according to a sheriff’s report.
The girlfriend claims Nardi threw a white ceramic cookie jar at her and started hitting her in the face, the report stated.
Nardi claims she walked over to the home to talk, and she observed the victim trying to choke his girlfriend so she punched him to help the girlfriend escape. Nardi claims a brawl then broke out between them all, according to the report.
Nardi was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail with a bond set at $1,000. She is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and simple battery.
