Ocala man arrested with heroin, meth, cocaine and counterfeit money

A 51-year-old Ocala man was arrested recently after he was pulled over for illegal tint and found with heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine and counterfeit money in his vehicle.

On August 1, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed a white Ford traveling with dark tinted windows. The deputy reported he recognized the driver.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop for the tint violation and a K-9 arrived on scene to conduct an air sniff of 51-year-old Ronald Altman’s vehicle.

When Altman stepped out of the vehicle, a glass pipe fell from his lap and he stated he feels like he was “set up” when asked if something was in his pocket. The deputy also found a pencil shaped glass pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine in the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s report.

A blue backpack was found inside the vehicle with a small black scale, BB gun, four small bags containing a clear rock substance and two baggies containing a white rock substance, the report states.

Another bag was also found with a brown powder substance and one with a white rock substance. One fake $50 bill and one fake $20 bill were also located in the center console of the vehicle, according to the report.

All the items were individually packaged and the substances tested positive for methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin, the report states.

The window tested 13% and the rear window tested at 20%, the report stated.

Altman was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail with a bond set at $16,000 and faces multiple charges. A court date is set for August 31 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
