To the Editor:
My husband and I relocated from Southern California in September 2019. We purchased a home off the 40 across from Six Gun Plaza. We have found there are very few restaurant choices in this area, we always have to travel to the 200; not that it’s far but very inconvenient if you want something as simple as Chick-fil-A or Jersey Mike’s, the better choices of fast food. As for sit-down serve restaurants, it’s the same. Coming from a location that had all these options within a couple of miles, it’s quite frustrating. Especially when you drive the 40 in this area and see all the possible locations they can be added. We have talked with many residents in this area that express the same sentiments. Understanding there are several places to dine in the downtown area, however not everyone wants over priced meals with little ‘bang for your buck.’ Along with a nightlife atmosphere. Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion. Outside of this concern, my husband and I are totally enjoying our retirement in Ocala, it is a great place to live!
