14th Street Liquor receives permit for new east Ocala location

A new Ocala business received approval for its alcohol permit request this week. 

An alcoholic beverage location permit for 14th Street Liquor, which will be located at 1033/1035 NE 14th Street, was approved during the Tuesday, August 17 regular meeting of the Ocala City Council.

The measure was approved by a 4-0 vote of the council, which was absent president Justin Grabelle. 

After a couple questions from council regarding the location’s proximity to churches, Assistant City Manager Pete Lee reminded council members of the one-year probationary period for alcoholic beverage licensees.
