Ocala woman arrested after allegedly fleeing from police in stolen vehicle

A 38-year-old Ocala woman was arrested after she allegedly fled from an officer attempting to pull her over while she was driving a stolen vehicle.

On August 19, a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy observed a silver Cadillac near U.S. Highway 441. The tag on the vehicle had already been confirmed through a records check by a MCSO deputy as being stolen, according to the sheriff’s report.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop and the vehicle appeared to be coming to a stop before quickly accelerating and continuing northbound.

A vehicle pursuit was initiated and, eventually, Jessica Zylo bailed out of the vehicle, the report states.

A K-9 and K-9 deputy were able to detain Zylo shortly thereafter. A records check revealed Zylo’s license was suspended with one prior conviction of driving while license suspended, according to the report.

Zylo was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail. It is the third time Zylo has been arrested this year and the eighth time since 2017.

A bond was set at $17,000. She is charged with resisting an officer, driving with a suspended license, fleeing from police, and possession of marijuana, among other charges.
