Flying Boat Tap Room has opened a new location on Baseline Road.
The business celebrated its grand opening earlier this month at 9672 SE 58th Avenue (Baseline Road), situated between Belleview and Ocala at Baseline Road’s intersection with SE 97th Place.
The tap room features an eclectic draft beer list, highlighting 28 varieties from a large swath of Florida breweries. Those breweries are based all across Florida and include Hidden Springs, Ology, Recycled, and Late Start, among others.
Alongside its drinks, the business cooks up fire stone pizzas with locally sourced ingredients, as well as sandwiches, tacos, and salads. It also offers an extensive tapas menu that features octopus, prawns, charcuterie, and crab cakes, to name a few.
The company was founded by Bill Bow and Tim Kirby, two airline pilots from south Florida who shared a passion for craft beer.
The business is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. It is closed on Tuesday.
