Darrell Ray Sloan, age 60, succumbed to Covid-19 on August 27, 2021, in Ocala, FL.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Donna Sloan, of Ocala, FL; his mother, Linda Sloan (Uncle Kenny), of West Islip, NY and mother-in-law Kathleen Wielgus; and his children Eric Hunt of Seattle, WA, Candy Sloan of Henrico, VA, Alicia Brown (Matthew) of Midlothian, VA, Christopher Sloan (Crystal) of Bradenton, FL. Beloved Papa to Nicholas Sloan, Sierra Spindler, Evan Hunt, Leilani Hunt, Micah Sloan, April Eades, Declan Brown and Hudson Brown. He is survived by his extended family; Brother-In-Law, Vincent Ferrin (Debra), Aunt Gail & Uncle Charlie, Cousins; Charlie, Kenny (Linda), Christina (BJ), Michele (Ron), Jill (Ed).

Darrell was born on May 4, 1961 in Tulsa, OK, to Linda Sloan. He graduated from Grapevine High School in Grapevine, TX. He worked as a flooring installer for 37 years

Darrell was a great family man and a loving father. He married Donna Sloan on April 16, 1988.

Darrell was a family man who was deeply devoted to God and bible study with his besties and enjoyed working in the yard. His family and friends will always remember him as a happy and uplifting person.

Friends and family will be received at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home (954 E Silver Springs Blvd Unit 200, Ocala, FL)on Wednesday September 1, 2021 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. A church service is scheduled for Darrell on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Grace Episcopal Church (503 SE Broadway St, Ocala, FL) at 9am, followed by the cemetery service at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery (7204 SE County Rd 234, Gainesville, FL) with a reception to follow at Grace Episcopal Church. Father Jonathan French will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Darrell’s life. The family would like to thank all that have prayed for him and supported his wife and family. Flowers can be sent to Baldwin Brothers at 954 E Silver Springs Blvd Unit 200, Ocala, FL 34470. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery (www.prairiecreekconservationcemetery.org) in Darrell’s honor.
