Rainbow River tubing season closing at end of month

Rainbow River Tubing will close for the season at the end of this month.

Tubing will end for the winter season, which begins on October 1 and lasts through March 31.

Although tubing is unavailable during the winter season, paddle crafts, including canoes, may still be rented.

Currently, tubing is available from two jump off points in Dunnellon:

KP Hole Park (9435 SW 190th Avenue Road)

Rainbow Springs State Park (10830 SW 180th Ave Road)

Tube rental at KP Hole Park includes park entry fee, tube rental, and return shuttle service. The cost is $25 per person. Tubes are available for rental daily from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., or until the park reaches capacity.

Tube and tram rental at Rainbow Springs State Park is $20. The cost to enter the park is $2. Tubes may be rented on weekends from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility recommends calling in advance to ensure availability in case of inclement weather.

For more information about tubing out of the parks, visit the Marion County KP Hole Park or Rainbow Springs State Park webpages.
