School supply donation drop-off to benefit Marion County Literacy Council

A group of local women leaders will host a school supply donation drop-off event to benefit the Marion County Literacy Council this weekend.

The Junior League of Ocala will collect school supply donations on Saturday, September 18, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Marion County Literacy Council, which is located at 120 SW 5th Street in Ocala.

The league leads monthly donations to various nonprofit organizations and this month, it is asking for a variety of school supply items. Those include dry erase markers, dry erase cleaner, 3-tab manila folders, copy paper, pencils, pens, 3 x 5 index cards, Post-it pads, wide-ruled spiral notebooks, Scotch tape, and White Out.

The Marion County Literacy Council is a nonprofit organization that provides adult citizens in Marion County with access to resources to help them improve their literacy skills.
