Anthony father, son arrested for string of vehicle burglaries in Marion County

An Anthony father and son were arrested after they were caught by detectives conducting a special operation while they were burglarizing vehicles in southwest Ocala.

On Sunday, September 19, detectives from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were conducting a special enforcement operation in a southwest Ocala community after multiple vehicle burglaries were reported.

At approximately 1 a.m., a vehicle made several passes in the neighborhood. The vehicle was observed driving slowly throughout the neighborhood with its lights turned off.

Two males, later identified as 19-year-old David Fabian Jr. and juvenile Isaiah Sadlier, exited the subject vehicle and attempted to gain entry into multiple parked vehicles.

The car was being driven by 51-year-old David Fabian Sr., according to the sheriff’s office report.

In one instance, the vehicle stopped in a driveway before Fabian Jr. and Sadlier were observed entering a parked F150 Ford pickup truck.

While the three male suspects drove through the neighborhood, they were tracked by Marion County Sheriff’s Office Air One helicopter. When it left, Air One tracked the group outside of the neighborhood until a traffic stop was conducted.

During the stop, multiple firearms were recovered from vehicle. The report says that the registered owners of the vehicles that were burglarized in the community confirmed that their vehicles had been broken into. None of the vehicle owners reported any missing items from their vehicles.

All three suspects were arrested and face a collection of charges.

Fabian Jr. faces nearly three dozen charges, including 20 charges of armed burglary of a conveyance. His bond was set at $546,000.

Fabian Sr. faces seven charges, including possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $55,000.
