A Fort McCoy cyclist was killed after he was ejected from a motorized bicycle that he was riding along E Highway 316.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the cyclist was traveling westbound on the edge of the roadway, just east of CR 315, when for unknown reasons, his bicycle overturned.
The cyclist, a 64-year-old man from Fort McCoy, was ejected off the bicycle and came to final rest in the center of the roadway.
The cyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene.
His name was not released as part of Florida Highway Patrol policy.
