Silver Springs State Park celebrating new accessible glass bottom boat during acreage anniversary

Silver Springs State Park will commemorate an acreage milestone anniversary with the opening of its new, handicap accessible glass bottom boat.

The park will host a “Park-iversary” celebration to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the park becoming a nearly 5,000 acre state park on Friday, October 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The park is located at 5656 East Silver Springs Boulevard.

The new Chief Potackee Betty Mae Tiger Jumper offers greater access to visitors using wheelchairs and other accessibility devices.

Tickets for the new boat are now on sale through the park’s website.

The celebration will feature live music by Mike Coker, ranger programs, games, and activities for the family. Admission to Silver Springs State Park is $2.
