The Marion County Supervisor of Elections has certified the results of last week’s Ocala City Council election.

On Friday, September 24, the City of Ocala Canvassing Board conducted a post-election voting system audit for the 2021 City of Ocala General and Special Election.

The public audit was completed with 100% accuracy, verifying the machine and human count matched exactly, according to the Marion County Supervisor of Elections.

During last week’s election, no candidate in District 3 or 4 received a majority of the vote. As a result, the city is now poised to host a run-off election on Tuesday, November 16.
