The Ocala Art and Food Festival is coming to Magnolia Art Xchange this weekend.
The inaugural event will take place on Saturday, October 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the gallery, which is located at 531 NE 1st Avenue.
Hosted by Merchant Services of Ocala, the charitable event will highlight restaurants, local artists, and small businesses while raising funds for two local nonprofit organizations. Local restaurants will prepare a specialty dish to represent their business at the event and works of art will be on display from current resident artists of the Magnolia Art Xchange.
Admission to the event is $10 and includes two drinks. All of the proceeds from ticket sales, raffles, and auctions will benefit Kimberly’s Center and Ocala Outreach.
Last week, the Magnolia Art Xchange was one of dozens of organizations that generated donations through the Give4Marion 24-hour charitable giving event. The organization raised a total of $2,325 from 18 donors, according to the Give4Marion Magnolia Art Xchange webpage.
