Last weekend’s Cops & Cars show raised over $4,400 for the United Way of Marion County.
The total was shared by the Ocala Police Department through its social media channels.
“We’d like to thank all of the car show participants and sponsors for making our Cops & Cars event a huge success,” reads a post from OPD.
According to the post, around 139 cars attended the show that took place on Saturday, October 2, at the Ocala Police Department Headquarters located along Pine Avenue.
“The car show could not have been possible without you all! 139 cars attended the show and we collected $4,400 for United Way of Marion County,” reads the post.
Car shows are taking place again throughout Ocala.
On Sunday, Ocala Cars and Coffee hosted their monthly show at War Horse Harley-Davidson. The next installment will take place “after dark” on Wednesday, October 20.
The weekend before last, the NPD Classic Car Show brought dozens of vintage vehicles to downtown Ocala.
