Madison Street Elementary gift thousands of Krispy Kreme donuts to first responders, law enforcement

Students at Madison Street Elementary school recently gifted thousands of Krispy Kreme donuts to multiple law enforcement and first responder agencies across Marion County and the city of Ocala.

As part of a school fundraiser, students at Madison Street Academy of Visual and Performing Arts sold over 1,100 boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts. As a result of the fundraiser, almost 250 of those boxes were given to local fire departments, law enforcement personnel, hospital staff, and agencies that deal with hunger.

One of those departments, the Ocala Fire Rescue, posted an update regarding the donation through its social media channels last week. According to OFR, the school donated approximately 30 boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts to the seven fire stations in Ocala alone.

“Handing box after box of warm, Krispy Kreme donuts to the firefighters at Station #1, they delivered not one, or a dozen, but 30 boxes of these circular delights,” reads the post from OFR.
