Barbara was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Robert and Audrey (Savage) Taylor on July 3, 1940. She went to Boone High School in Orlando and graduated in 1958. She spent many years working at the phone company in Ocala and was very active in her community. She enjoyed baking and bowling, but most of all spending time with her family. Barbara was always there for anyone in need and was one of the kindest people to meet. Never knew a stranger and was always friendly. Her pride and joy rested in the time she spent with her family. Those that knew her will no doubt feel her loss.She is survived by her sisters, Patty Carver, who resides in Leesburg, FL, and Becky (Bob) Davis of Orlando. Barbara also is survived by her 3 sons, Wendell (Cathy), Jeff (Pam), and Randy (Teresa). Barbara has 9 grandchildren: Alex Landry (Rachel), Nashville, TN.; Ariel Pierpont (Brandon), St. Petersburg, FL; Zachary Landry, Gainesville, FL; Parker Landry, Lakeland, FL; Noah Landry (Lauren), Ocala, FL; Kerrie Landry, Ocala, FL; Brice Landry, Ocala, FL; Heather Chapman, Ocala, FL; and Tiffany Chapman, Ocala, FL. Her great grandchildren are Ellington Landry, Lavin Pierpont, Ariana Sanchez, Sebastian Sanchez, and a new great-grandchild due in March 2022. Barbara had several nieces and nephews as well: Leann (Tom) Shaw, Terri (Dew) Stokes, Bonnie Burgess, Danny Davis, and Jeremy Davis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beardmore who passed away in 2015, and she missed him very much. Their wedding anniversary would have been the first of October. She is also preceded in death by her parents Robert Taylor (Elizabeth), Audrey Savage (Jack), her sister, Diane (Jon) Golz, half-brothers, Robbie Taylor and Tony Morani.
A memorial service will be held at Roberts Downtown Chapel located at 606 SW 2nd Avenue, Ocala, FL, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Roberts of Ocala Funerals and Cremations will be handling the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitional Housing for Homeless Veterans at 1205 East Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala.
