A 31-year-old man was arrested after allegedly firing a single shot into the tire of an occupied vehicle.

Shortly before 3:00 p.m. on October 13, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived at a Fort McCoy residence in reference to a shooting.

A female victim told deputies that she was driving with her daughter east from 14864 NE 147th Street in Fort McCoy toward NE 150th Avenue.

According to the victim, Bradley Allen Crawford, who was riding his bicycle on the road, walked directly in front of her vehicle and demanded that she stop following him.

The victim told Crawford that she was just trying to get to NE 150th Avenue, at which point Crawford threatened to shoot out her tire.

She told Crawford to “do it,” and stated that Crawford pulled out a handgun from the back of his pants and allegedly fired a single shot into the rear driver’s side tire before leaving the scene on his bicycle.

The victim located Crawford at his parents’ Fort McCoy residence and contacted law enforcement.

During the investigation, the MCSO deputy observed a half-inch gunshot hole in the center of the victim’s rear driver’s side metal rim. The tire was completely deflated.

According to the report, Crawford admitted that he rode his bicycle to his parents’ residence in Fort McCoy. He claimed that the victim was following him the entire way, and admitted to threatening to destroy the victim’s tire. He denied using a gun, and instead stated he made the threat with a knife.

Crawford was placed under arrest and transferred to Marion County Jail where he is currently being held on $5,000 bond.

He faces two felony weapon charges and has an upcoming court date on November 16 at 9:00 a.m., according to jail records.
