A 41-year-old Ocala man was arrested after he threw a rock at a school bus that was transporting ten children.
On Tuesday, October 19 around 4:00 p.m., a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived on Pecan Road in Ocala in response to vandalism of a school bus.
A witness stated that Timothy Leon Williams threw a rock that struck the windshield of a school bus.
The deputy spoke with Williams who was standing on a nearby front yard, and he admitted to throwing the rock. A large crack in the windshield, on the driver’s side of the bus, was observed by the deputy.
The bus was transporting ten students, and a second school bus had to respond to the location to pick those children up.
Williams was arrested and transported to Marion County Jail. He faces several felony charges for a weapon offense and criminal mischief resulting in property damage.
He is currently being held on $12,500 bond. No court date has been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
